The 2020 AMSIG Annual meeting will take place in the harbour city of Sydney – capital of New South Wales, Australia.

SMC Conference & Function Centre
The meeting venue will be the SMC Conference & Function Centre – one of Australia’s premier event venues. Inside this striking architectural icon SMC manages 13 fully accessible event spaces that can cater for small events to lavish conferences.
The SMC regularly plays host to politicians, international luminaries, charitable institutions and some of Australia’s most high-profile organisations. A showcase of locally sourced cuisine, cooked and prepared on site will ensure that all delegate are well catered for at the meeting.
The SMC Conference and Function Centre is conveniently located in Sydney’s bustling CBD, with impressive access via public transport (train, light rail, bus) and cost-effective parking options nearby.
The Meeting will be held in the Grand Lodge and the exhibition area just next door in the Banquet Hall.

Located on one of the world’s most spectacular sites on the edge of Sydney Harbour, the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA) is dedicated to exhibiting, collecting and interpreting the work of today’s artists.
The AMSIG members, non-members and partners will enjoy a lavish dinner, catered by The Fresh Collective in the Harbourside Room, located on the rooftop of the MCA. Fitted with lime-washed cedar ceilings, Australian hardwood flooring and floor-to-ceiling glass windows, this venue provides an uninterrupted view across Sydney Harbour, the Opera House and the city skyline. Pivoting glass doors open out onto partly covered terrace and outdoor area.

SYDNEY - New South Wales
Sydney is located on the New South Wales coast and is very accessible with multiple daily direct flights from all of Australia and New Zealand’s main centres. Sydney International airport is located just 20 minutes from Sydney’s CBD and is linked with shuttles, taxi services, buses and rental cars.
Sydney Airport is located just 8km from the Sydney CBD and driving takes about 25 minutes in light traffic. Most routes to the airport carry regular signs of the universally recognisable aeroplane symbol.
BY TAXI AND RIDESHARE
You can access taxis and rideshare services when you arrive. The Sydney CBD is a short, 20-minute ride away and will cost about $45-$55 one way. You’ll find taxi ranks at the front of all terminals – simply follow the signs to the nearest ranks. For rideshare services, please arrange with your driver to meet you at our priority pick-up area.
Sydney Airport is located just 13 minutes by train from the city. Airport Link offers a fast and convenient way to reach the city and suburbs, with trains running approximately every 10 minutes. The station is located at the northern end of the terminal and accessible from the Arrivals level. To use this service, you can either purchase an Opal Card from the station, Relay or WH Smith, or tap on with your Amex, Visa or Mastercard. BY RENTAL CAR
Sydney Airport has several car rental companies located at the arrivals level at T1 International and T2/T3 Domestic terminals. Search and compare the best deals from quality rental car providers like Avis, Hertz, Europcar, Budget, Thrifty and Enterprise.
Sydney Buses operates a timetabled service, Route 400, between Bondi Junction and Eastgardens via Sydney Airport and 420 between Eastgardens to Burwood via Sydney Airport. The service stops at both the T1 International and T3 Domestic terminals. You will find clearly marked bus stops located on the arrivals level outside each of these terminals. You’ll need an Opal transport card to use the service.
